It was a cattle call, but I auditioned and was chosen to play the principal part of the “Other Woman” in the Aretha Franklin Music Video, “Another Night.” My students and  my  cousins went a little wild as this video was shown continuously on big screens in night clubs across the country. My actor friends praised my winning the role, and many thought I knew Aretha. No, not previously; but I cherish those two days of filming and connecting with the Queen of Soul. Rest in Peace, Ree, Ree.
